Instagram is a social network and application. Its function is to upload photos and videos. It is available for Android and iOS devices. Its users can also apply photographic effects such as filters, frames, thermal similarities, underlying areas in the concave bases, retro colors and subsequently share the photographs in the same social network or in others such as Facebook, Tumblr, Flickr and Twitter.

Created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, Instagram was launched in October 2010. This application quickly gained popularity, reaching more than 100 million active users in April 2012 and more than 300 million in December 2014.
